Afro-jazz diva Simphiwe Dana has taken the world by storm. Almost an overnight success, she has catapulted to household name status with her unique dress sense, her outspoken views and most importantly, her incredible voice. Hailed by many as 'a young Miriam Makeba', Simphiwe has just had her debut album 'Zandisile' released in many European countries after topping the Billboard charts, and her second album The 'One Love Movement On Bantu Biko Street' has just been released in her home country to massive acclaim. She also walked away with the AVO Award in 2006 alongside Sir Elton John. Not for many years has an artist of this calibre emerged in the jazz world.
