The second solo album by the Brazilian pop icon Paula Toller, including collaborations with Jesse Harris, Donavon Frankenreiter, and Kevin Johansen.
For those who are not familiar with the name, Paula Toller has been Brazilian pop’s biggest icon for the past 25 years. During this time, she hass been the lead singer of Kid Abelha, one of the most successful pop band in her native country.
Her second solo album, Sónós, showcases some great collaborations with international musicians, like surfer/ rocker Donavon Frankenreiter, folk jazz cult composer Jesse Harris (who penned the famous ‘Don't Know Why’, a worldwide hit for Norah Jones) and Alaska-born 3-times Grammy Latin Awards nominee Kevin Johansen. sang in English and Portuguese.
The album also includes some well-crafted self penned songs, as well as material by Rufus Wainwright, and Dado Villa-Lobos.
