Sarah Vaughan - Original Album Series

23 February 2015

One of the most wondrous voices of the 20th century, Sarah Vaughan ranked with Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday in the very top echelon of female jazz singers. In 1960, she joined the Roulette label, and working with producers Teddy Reig and Henry Glover, Vaughan had a relaxed, shimmering jazz- sound on these albums. By then, she was established as a jazz legend, and weaves through songs with a clear sense of herself as a songstress and storyteller.
