FUEL FANDANGO is a duo formed by Ale Acosta and Nita. Organic dance music with hints of rock, funk, and flamenco, it is the brainchild of Ale Acosta, who had already surprised us back in 2004 with MOJO PROJECT, his successful experiment that revolutionized the national music scene with its mix of electronica and other styles such as funk and jazz. Nominated for a Latin Grammy Award in 2008, Acosta has also worked with the maestro Morente, Chambao, and Concha Buika.
The other half of Fuel Fandango is Nita, a precious gem from the south who has flamenco in her soul and black music in her voice. Nita is a young but very experienced singer from Córdoba who began her career singing coplas and flamenco, and gradually got involved in musical projects encompassing soul, funk, and electronica. On stage, she is pure passion and energy.
After more than 70 concerts and over 15,000 downloads of their first EP, they are finally releasing their first album - 13 songs recorded between Córdoba and Madrid during 2010 and mastered in The Exchange Studios in London by Simon Davey (Depeche Mode, Bjork, Chemical Brothers…)
Their first album called “FUEL FANDANGO” includes 13 songs
It is a solid album, complex yet universal, and it is clear that these fusionist lovers of good taste and good times enjoy experimenting in the studio. Its alarming eclecticism allows us to hear and compare on a single album echoes of bands like Jamiroquai along with some kind of missing link in the Blaxploitation genre. There is the inevitable touch of flamenco, of course, which brings a sense of integrity to such an exotic album on which each song is charged with unstoppable energy, elevating this work to another level.
