After a 3-year absence from recording studios due to his appointment as Brazil's Minister of Culture, Gilberto Gil returns with his latest release Eletracustico, recorded Live in Rio De Janeiro in September 2004. Here Gil revisits some of his greatest hits including: Refavela (1977), Andar com Fe (1982), A Linha e o Linho (1983) Aquele Abraco (1969), Se Eu Quiser Falar com Deus (1980) and such classics as A Rita (written by Chico Buarque in 1965), and Maracatu Atomico (1974), written by by Nelson Jacobina and Jorge Mautner and featuring Mautner on violin.
