Nathalie Soles

28 January 2008

Born of a Togolese father and an Italian mother, French-born Nathalie Soles spent most of her childhood in Morocco. Her multicultural influences and her singing quickly earned her recognition. Her remarkable natural register, made of four and a half octaves, gives her an exceptional vocal strength.  Her new album, Deeper, marks a new step in Nathalie Soles’s musical career. 12 jazz standards plus two self-penned originals, recorded with a piano trio, with added saxophone and percussion for the self-penned songs.  Upon its release in France, the album was given great support at radio and the station Fréquence Jazz added it to their playlist straight away.

The cover artwork and booklet were illustrated by Paris-based Swedish artist Lovisa Burfitt, well known for her work with Madonna and Kate Moss.
