This Collector edition gathers the very best of the 27 Astor Piazzolla albums available from Milan Records.
His best-known compositions, like ‘Adios Nonino’ and ‘Libertango are included in this collection. Emmanuel Chamboredon, head of Milan Records, met Astor Piazzolla in 1985, through Simon Mizrahi.
At the time Piazzolla had just finished composing the soundtrack to the film Tango, El Exilio De Gardel, directed by Fernando Solanas, for which he won a Cesar (French Oscar) for the best soundtrack the following year. This was the beginning of a short and intense collaboration, before Piazzolla’s death 6 years later.
