Warner Classics download store launches 10 April 2006

Warner Classics has become the first major classical record label to launch a download store from its own website, www.warnerclassics.com. From today (10 April 2006), hundreds of titles from our award-winning catalogue will be available including recordings by Daniel Barenboim, Pierre-Laurent Aimard, Susan Graham and Daniel Hope. The process is simple and convenient – within minutes you could have your favourite recordings on your PC and portable listening device. Dozens of additional titles from the catalogue will be added each week, so come back soon for more classical gems from some of the world’s finest musicians. All downloads are as Windows Media Audio files (WMA) and are encoded at 192 kbps. There are streamed soundclips so you can listen to any track before you buy. Full price albums are £8 while our budget Apex series is £3 per album. Individual tracks are available and are priced according to duration. A track of up to 10' will cost 0.80p, up to 15' will cost £1, and up to 25' £1.20. Many people have experienced difficulty finding classical music on other download stores, so we have worked particularly hard on our search facilities to make them as easy and efficient as possible. We will shortly be adding a ‘browsing’ feature, in addition to the ‘featured albums’ page, for those who are looking more broadly. Click here to visit the Warner Classics Digital Download store
