Warner Classics artists win four Echo Klassik Awards

On 24th October in Munich, Daniel Hope, Pierre-Laurent Aimard and Gyorgy Ligeti were all honoured in the televised Echo Klassiks Awards 2004. Hope won Best Young Classical Artist for his recording of the Berg and Britten Concerti. Aimard, who performed live at the event, won Best Orchestral Recording of the Year for his recording of Dvorak's Piano Concerto and Best Solo Recording of the Year for his Debussy Images & Etudes CD. Ligeti won the award for Lifetime Achievement and although he was not able to be there on the night, his representative Louise Duchesneau was there to receive the award on his behalf.
