The first reviews of Daniel Hope’s brilliant new Bach disc

The headline in the Classic FM Magazine review of Daniel Hope’s new Bach disc on Warner Classics read: ‘Fast… Furious… Fantastic!’ Julian Haylock gives the CD 4-stars and says, ‘Hope gives the music plenty of room to breathe naturally… The COE players sound like they’re loving every minute.’ In the October issue of BBC Music Magazine, Nicholas Anderson awards Hope’s recording 4-stars for performance and 5-stars for sound and praises the violinist’s ‘sharply defined articulation’ and his ‘stylish Brandenburg No. 5’. The full repertoire for the disc, recorded with the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, is: J.S. Bach: Concerto for Violin and Strings in E. BWV 1042 J.S.
