Download store at warnerclassics.com from 10 April
Warner Classics will become the first major classical label to launch an online store. The store, located at Warner Classics' web site at www.warnerclassics.com will offer consumers downloads of tracks from its award-winning classical music catalogue. Beginning 10 April, hundreds of Warner Classics’ albums will be available for digital download with 50 or so added each week.
At launch, consumers will be able to easily obtain their favourite tracks from the Warner Classics web site. These tracks will also be available from Warner Classics’ digital service provider partners. In addition to advanced search functions, the Warner Classics web site will also feature soundclips so consumers can preview music before purchase.
Matthew Cosgrove, Director of Warner Classics, says: “Our mission is to make classical music accessible to as many consumers as possible. Our online store will enable classical music fans to access high quality recordings from our music library anytime from anywhere. We are extremely excited about the launch of this new store.”
Warner Classics boasts a catalogue that includes some of the biggest stars in classical music. Recordings by Daniel Barenboim, Maxim Vengerov, Susan Graham, Renee Fleming, Placido Domingo, José Carreras, Daniel Hope, Leila Josefowicz, Rolando Villazon, Bryn Terfel, Yehudi Menuhin and many more wonderful artists will be available for downloading.
