Daniel Barenboim in UK with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra
The Chicago Symphony Orchestra will be in the UK for four concerts with Daniel Barenboim. On 3rd April they perform Mahler's Ninth Symphony at the Royal Festival Hall, conducted by Barenboim. On 4th April there is an all-Bartók programme with Barenboim playing the First Piano Concerto conducted by Pierre Boulez , for full details and tickets see: www.rfh.org.uk.
On 5th April the orchestra will perform Mahler's Ninth Symphony at Bridgewater Hall in Manchester (http://www.bridgewater-hall.co.uk/) and on 6th April the same work at Symphony Hall in Birmingham (http://www.necgroup.co.uk/).

Daniel Barenboim will return to the UK later in the month for two performances of Brahms's Piano Concertos Nos.1 and 2 with the London Symphony Orchestra and Antonio Pappano on the 16th and 17th April at the Barbican (www.barbican.org.uk).
On 1st May he will give a recital of Book 1 of Bach's Well-Tempered Clavier at the Barbican in London (3pm) after which he will be signing copies of his CDs.
