Chamber Orchestra of Europe celebrate 25th Anniversary

The Chamber Orchestra of Europe, celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2006, draws its membership of fifty musicians from fifteen countries. As individual musicians they pursue parallel careers as international soloists, members of eminent chamber groups, and as tutors and professors of music. The Orchestra is renowned for the quality of its recordings; amongst many international prizes it won Gramophone Record of the Year awards for its cycles of Schubert and Beethoven Symphonies with legendary maestro Nikolaus Harnoncourt. The Chamber Orchestra of Europe’s recordings for Warner Classics have enjoyed massive acclaim, not least the late Mozart Symphonies. This incredible recording of Symphonies 38-41 is now re-packaged for re-release at mid-price to commemorate both Mozart’s 250th anniversary and the orchestra’s 25th. Featured in this release is a bonus sampler of extracts from some of the orchestra’s greatest albums. For full details, click here.
