Buika: La Noche Más Larga

Hailed by the Spanish and European press as a flamenco star, Buika is blessed with a remarkable voice. Her albums have topped the world music charts of recent years, and ‘El Ultimo Trago’, a collaboration with Chucho Valdes, won her a Latin Grammy music award.
Her previous albums, which have been released in more than 22 countries and have sold over half a million copies – a far from negligible figure in these times, especially for such a personal and honest work.
Buika has taken such diverse musical styles as copla, tango, bulerías, bolero, Cuban music and jazz, and made them her own in a uniquely personal way. This is an extraordinary and one-of-a-kind artist.

Now she brings us her latest studio album, La Noche Más Larga, featuring classic songs across all the genres that have left their mark on her life. And as expected, she adds her own personal twist, reinterpreting them and infusing them with passion and emotion in equal measure.
Standards such as ‘Don`t Explain’ (Nina Simone), ‘Siboney’ (Nana Mouskouri), ‘Santa Lucía’ (Miguel Ríos) and ‘Yo Vengo A Ofrecer Mi Corazón (Fito Páez)’ are fine examples of what this original and electrifying artist is capable of.

The album also includes new songs composed by Buika, such as ‘Como Era’, ‘Los Solos’, ‘Sueño con Ella’, and ‘No lo Se’ (featuring the great Pat Metheny).
