Born and raised in the Eastern Cape, Simphiwe's name means 'gift' and in a short period of time Simphiwe Dana has become one of South Africa's favourite daughters representing her culture and heritage all around the world.
Winner of 7 South African Music Awards for her two albums 'Zandisile' (2004) and 'The One Love Movement On Bantu Biko Street' (2006), Simphiwe is one of the most sought-after performers to emerge from South Africa in many years with the future looking even more promising for this hard working artist.
