Boris Berezovsky: Features and Reviews

Boris Berezovsky has been stunning audiences across the UK this week with his performances with the Philharmonia and Alexander Lazarev, including two sold out performances at Londonís Queen Elizabeth Hall. They have been touring the country alternating the programmes: Medtner's First Piano Concerto and Borodin's Second Symphony or Tchaikovsky's First Piano Concerto and Glazunov's Fifth Symphony. Borisís new CD, Khachaturian Piano Concerto and Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto No. 1 with the Ural Philharmonic Orchestra and Dmitri Liss, is released this month on Warner Classics. Aram Khachaturian wrote his piano concerto to include the optional use of the unusual percussion instrument called the flexatone in the second movement. The version on the CD is without the flexatone, but those who buy the CD will be able to download for FREE the version with the flexatone from the EXCLUSIVE AREA of www.warnerclassics.com. Read more about the flexatone here. A feature on Boris Berezovsky from the Daily Telegraph can be read here. A postcard from Ekaterinburg featuring Boris Berezovsky can be read here.
